Rhapsody (with lyrics)
Music for Mature Souls has songs about dynamic women with names like Harmony, Destiny and Proud Penelope among others. Here now is Rhapsody, of whom we learn “You’re a creature of delight. Supernova in the night. You’re an angel in disguise, or the devil with blue eyes”. Sold as part of “Music For America”.

From “Music For Mature Souls”. A salute to America’s fighting troops around the world. Played on violin and oboe. Sold as part of “Music For America”.
The Last Salute
A salute to our honored dead at Gettysburg, still the costliest battle in America’s history. You can imagine the flute and violin strains drifting across the misty hills and valleys of the countryside as the song plays. More broadly, can be used to salute America’s troops in general. Sold as part of “Music For America”.
Reveille For Heaven
In the sci-fi series “Star Trek”, the Klingons have a custom that they must scream skyward to warn StovoKor (heaven) that a deceased warrior is arriving. In this replacement for “taps”, we can imagine alerting the citizens of heaven to the arrival of a new soul. Intended as a gravesite salute. Sold as part of “Music For America”. Previously called “Elegy: Salute And Farewell”.
Pure Michigan (with lyrics)
There is a subset of America that the composer is particularly fond of, namely his home state of Michigan. “Pure Michigan” is the state’s advertising slogan, and appropriately the title of the song. Ironically, Michigan has no official state song. How about this one? Sold as part of “Music for America”.
Where Heroes Dare To Go (with lyrics
This is a soft, easy going ballad that can be played on strings. It’s obviously inspired by the problems of 2020, with somewhat abstract lyrical references. It eventually incorporates the main lyrical fragment “we’ll go where the timid never show, there where heroes dare to go”. Really a lovely piece.
