Inspired by a friend who is not wealthy and lives job to job. He keeps his life simple, as he must due to his financial situation. The brisk, playful melody evokes images of the Amish doing their daily chores. It also reflects my admiration for Aaron Copeland's Appalachian Spring, which embodies a similar spirit. The title refers to love. This song begins by expressing frustration with love, but then later build up some respect and even admiration for it. "Love is an alternate state of mind. This is a warm, relaxed love song to a woman, referred to only as "Babe". There are multiple references to her memorable style and grace as an accomplished woman. Some of the lyrics are "If I was offered all the world but you, I'd laugh, because such a world would never do", and "Forever we will be a force to be reckoned with, a team that cannot ever lose". Building A Dream
