Inspired by a friend who is not wealthy and lives job to job. He keeps his life simple, as he must due to his financial situation. The brisk, playful melody evokes images of the Amish doing their daily chores. It also reflects my admiration for Aaron Copeland's Appalachian Spring, which embodies a similar spirit. Academic Accolades
A song which could be played at graduation ceremonies in place of Edward Elgar's "Pomp and Circumstance". It could also be played for more informal proceedings, with a bright, solemn tone to it. Played on flute (G Major) and strings (F Major). No lyrics.

This is an instrumental (no lyrics) based on variations of a particular short musical phrase. The melody is relaxed and soothing, perfect for casual listening. Played on violin (Ab Major) and flute (F Major).
Alternate state Of Mind
The title refers to love. This song begins by expressing frustration with love, but then later build up some respect and even admiration for it. "Love is an alternate state of mind. A vision of a special kind. Second chances, new advances, are part of the game". It then ends with “Just give love a chance". Played by the strings. Key:Eb Major. With lyrics.
Always Just You
Although this song has no lyrics, the first few bars were inspired by the title (as in "It was always just you"). The vigorous melody could be adapted for orchestra, and is played here by the strings. Key: Bb Major.

This is a warm, relaxed love song to a woman, referred to only as "Babe". There are multiple references to her memorable style and grace as an accomplished woman. Some of the lyrics are "If I was offered all the world but you, I'd laugh, because such a world would never do", and "Forever we will be a force to be reckoned with, a team that cannot ever lose". Building A Dream
A lilting flute melody sets a dreamlike atmosphere which builds as the melody progresses, building to a more forceful conclusion, reflecting the accomplishment of achieving a dream. The melody then repeats. Key: Bb Major. Instrumental, no lyrics.

A song about a man's lost love and a desire to reunite with her. An relaxed melody hits a few memorable highs as he re-expresses his love. Some of the lyrics "I may make mistakes, but I have what it takes. I worship the woman you are". It concludes "Come back to me my love". A song about two lovers who are separated due to previous disagreements, with one imploring the other to reunite. It begins "Hey it's only me. Just thought I'd see how you might be." Also, "Once I was disturbed, upset with theword, until I learned I can't live without you." The second part of the melody reaches some joyful high notes, riding the ware of optimism. Played on oboe (E Major), strings (Eb Major) and violin (F Major). With lyrics.

As you might guess, this is an emphatic expression of sheer exuberance, an explosion of happiness. Not too fast, played on the strings to properly the grand heights the melody reaches. Instrumental, no lyrics. Key: Bb Major.
